As we are spending more time outside, the outdoor community activities are kicking off. One of them is the annual Westridge Car Show on Main Street in West Kelowna, home of Lordco and Wings, just off of Highway 97. The 2019 edition kicks off on Friday May 3rd with Okanagan country legend Ben Klick as the Emcee.
West Kelowna resident Ben Klick is known for his country music with a modern twist. His popularity grew rapidly as more discovered how multi talented he is as a songwriter, and vocalist playing multiple instruments. Especially his guitar work leaves fans in awe. It is 96.3 Kelownaâs Classic Rock radio stationâs Street Team to bring him along visiting events in the community.
The Westridge Car Show is a seasonal community event that brings locals together, whether it is for the cars, contests, prizes, or entertainment. Come out Friday at May 3rd 5pm to see Ben Klick emcee the first edition of the 2019âs Car Show.
Ben Klick will be promoting his fundraising concert held this Sunday. Together with award winning country singer Jess Moskaluke, he will host the first Music Fest MS. All proceeds from the concert will go directly to the MS Society of Canada. Ben Klickâs father was recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, an autoimmune disease of the central nervous system.
Join the community at Westridge Shopping Centre, because there is another great cause to support. Participating in the 50/50 draw, all proceeds will go towards Westbank locals, Alicia Chadsey and her young son Thompson. This fundraiser called âTabs for Thompsonâ collects aluminum can tabs, to be recycled to fund transportation to and from the hospital. Thompson is going through a lengthy surgical process to save on of his legs, gradual leg lengthening, rebuilding and stabilizing that will take years.
See you at the Carshow! Westridge Shopping Centre is centrally located on Main Street in West Kelowna, just off of Highway 97.
