For the first time since 2019, the Annual Terry Fox Run was held in person on Sunday, September 18, 2022. The annual run first took place in 1981, making this year’s event the 42nd edition, and has evolved into the largest fundraising event in support of cancer research in the world.
Callahan Property Group had a blast at the annual Terry Fox “I’m not a quitter” Run in Kelowna.
It was a great opportunity to get together as a team and support a movement inspired by Terry. This year, the CPG team raised $2,500 to go towards cancer research. Thank you to all our family and friends that helped us exceed our goal.

As our communities continue to manage the impacts of the pandemic along with the increased frequency of natural disasters that keep hitting our local neighbourhoods, Bruce & Bob Callahan wanted to put their support behind an organization that directly helps the families impacted. Callahan Property Group is honoured to donate $100,000 to the Canadian Red Cross which is aimed at significantly increasing their ability to respond and help save lives.
The Canadian Red Cross has a long history of adapting its services to help meet emerging needs in our country. Right now, the Callahan Property Group is proud to stand with them to support building the capacity of Red Cross through its Humanitarian Workforce. In the last decade, the number of extreme disasters in Canada has been on the rise – three of British Columbia’s worst wildfire seasons have occurred within the past five years. The Canadian Red Cross builds on more than 100 years of technical expertise and wide-reaching partnerships, making it the perfect organization to invest in to protect communities against the next disaster. They are building their capacity to respond by developing and recruiting skilled teams ahead of disasters to help scale up quickly when disasters strike; implementing technology to streamline their response on the ground; and investing in supplies, such as a field hospital to be used within Canada, if needed.
